FASHION HIGHLIGHTS FROM MELBOURNE

To most of the world Australia is a far off land, almost mythical in is its natural beauty, moderate climes, relaxed culture and of course strange and deadly wild life and also it is symbol of glamour fashion styles.   Melbourne, on the South East coast is not typically Australian by this set of standards. The cultural capital of Australia, Melbourne is a truly diverse and multicultural metropolis boasting world-renowned food, and coffee culture. An incredibly creative city, it has vibrant nightlife and a live music scene to rival the largest capital cities of the world.   Stylistically Melbourne is known for its leanings towards the dark, edgy, and avant-garde, favoring understated, intellectual design. With Sydney as the fashion business capital (home to most of the fashion magazines and to Rosemount Australian Fashion Week) Melbourne is given room to flourish in a more independent, culturally rich environment. It is the main source of fashionphotos and fashion images and while black may indeed be the color of choice for many Melbournians, there is great diversity in what the fashion scene has to offer. With a strong history in casual attire, particularly in surf wear, it’s not surprising that the street wear brands continue to thrive in Australia, and Melbourne does it well. Boutique street wear labels Alpha60 and Perks and Mini enjoy a cult following, and Lime drop and LIFE with BIRD give a playful, refined perspective to the style.

The latest fashion trends from Istanbul, Turkey

Istanbul is still negotiating with spring for warmer weather, but the Istanbullu are taking their cue from Mother Nature who is starting to show signs of what is to come. The city is full of blooming Judas trees and their purple flowers are popping against all the usual green ones and also it is the main source of glamourfashion styles all around the world. We’re still bundled up in our winter coats, but now we’re still lovingly adding pops of color to help us get in the mood for spring. Pinks, greens, reds all add a sassy bit of life to our otherwise neutral palette.  All over Istanbul people are popping one or more things in their outfits. From hand warmers to shirt sleeves to flirty skirts we've got it going on with hits of color. Everyone wants a little spring and everyone wants a little pop of color. It’s up to you to decide how. Boys like pop-color sneakers, ladies like their shoes or bags to pop, even grandfathers get in on the act with sleeves that go pop pop. Everyone wants the bright colors of spring.
As the weather gets warmer I am predicting more and more color combinations. Brights will be paired with brights, muted colors will be paired with muted colors and the really daring will pair bright and muted colors. We’re not shrinking violets when it comes to color here – we love our violets and our mauves and all the colors under the bright yellow sun. For more fashion news please visit the source link.
